Black women die from breast cancer at higher rates than their white counterparts. This is a major problem in the community and the overall health of wellness of Black women should be a larger priority and focus for us. According to a 2019 study from the SEER Cancer Statistics Review, Black women have the second highest incidence of breast cancer overall. The goal of this program is to raise awareness of Breast Cancer in the Black female community and ways we can make healthy strides as college students to reduce risk.
