Did you know that breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among black women? According to the Carol Milgard Breast Center, “women whose breast cancer is detected at an early stage have a 93 percent or higher survival rate in the first five years.”


The more we know about breast cancer, the better our chances are of detecting abnormalities and catching these things in the early stages. Every October, the Ladies of Alpha Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. discuss the harsh realities and spread knowledge around Breast Cancer Awareness.
